The garden

Iā€™m glad I was born in the 90s. It was a blessing to spend my impressionable, developmental years barefoot outdoors, running around in the sun and fresh air. My siblings and I were occupied with playing in creeks and painting the cool rocks we found, instead of using up all our time in front of a screen. My childhood familiarity with nature led me to growing a garden. Over the years I have sculpted the earth into mounds to grow from, tended to an array of vegetables, fruits, and pollinator favorites, and fallen in love with the enormous ecosystem I encounter there. Nothing beats actually experiencing these moments in nature, but I hope to capture a glimpse of the beauty to bring indoors.
